Sofie Berzon MacKie , a British-Israeli visual artist and curator, and one of this year’s awardees. As the director and chief curator of the Be’eri Gallery for Contemporary Art in Israel, Sofie’s work delves into themes of identity, immigration, nature vs. culture, and hybridity, all deeply inspired by her personal journey and life. While she primarily works in photography and lens-based art, her creative practice spans various media, bringing a powerful narrative and intimate exploration to each piece.
